This study conducts a comparative analysis of sports management systems and operational mechanisms in the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, and South Korea, systematically examining their historical evolution, governance frameworks, and investment mechanisms.
Building upon this foundation, it methodically identifies key challenges within the current system and their underlying causes. Aligned with China’s sports development imperatives and emerging trends, the study proposes theoretical and operational recommendations for reforming the sports project management system, encompassing overarching principles, implementation pathways, and concrete measures.
