Commissioned by the General Administration of Sport of China.
This study focuses on core determinants of mass sports development in China, investigating current status of National Mass Sports indicators and their metric values. Concurrently, it examines indicator frameworks and implementation outcomes in the United States, Germany, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Through comparative analysis, the study diagnoses shortcomings in China’s existing indicator system — addressing challenges such as indicator gaps, insufficient scientific rigor, and operational limitations — ultimately formulating a scientifically robust, systematic, and actionable National Mass Sports indicator framework.
